DIRECTIONS TO 2010 TOURNAMENT SITES

Locating the Courts used for the Pearland Classic is really very simple. The trick is remembering that some of Pearland’s streets have multiple names or change names depending on whether you are east or west of Main Street. Main Street is also known as SH 35. When you are heading north out of Pearland and into the Houston city limits, it is called Telephone Road. The main east/west street is Broadway—also known as FM 518.

Another street used in these directions is John Lizer Road/Magnolia. The street is John Lizer on the east side of Main Street/SH 35 and Magnolia on the west side of SH 35.

Oiler Drive runs along the south side of the Pearland High School campus. Once the street crosses to the west side of Main Street/SH 35, it is called Bailey Road by most people, and County Road 101 by some old timers.

COURTS #1, #2, #3 are located at – Searcy 9^th Grade Center – 3775 S. Main St.

Traveling Hwy. 288 South — Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518. Make a left on FM 518. Continue down FM 518. Once you will cross some railroad tracks, you should be at Main Street/SH 35. When you get to the light you will make a right on Main St./SH 35. Continue south on Main St./SH 35. You will see a Shell gas station on the right at the John Lizer/Magnolia + Main St./SH 35 intersection. You should continue on Main St. to the next traffic light where you will turn left onto a street that has entrances into the north parking lot of Pearland High School. This will take you to gyms 1, 2 and 3. You will enter through the north doors into a cafeteria area. The gyms are to the left along the side of the cafeteria.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take the Beltway to Telephone Rd. and make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road, and the street will change to Main St./SH 35. Continue south on Main St./SH 35. You will see a Shell gas station on the right at the John Lizer/Magnolia + Main St./SH 35 intersection. You should continue on Main St. to the next traffic light where you will turn left onto a street that has entrances into the north parking lot of Pearland High School. This will take you to gyms 1, 2 and 3. You will enter through the north doors into a cafeteria area. The gyms are to the left along the side of the cafeteria.

COURT #4 is located at – Pearland High School South – 3775 S. Main St.

Traveling Hwy. 288 South — Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518. Make a left on FM 518. Continue down FM 518. Once you will cross some railroad tracks, you should be at Main Street/SH 35. When you get to the light you will make a right on Main St./SH 35. Continue south on Main St./SH 35. You will see a Shell gas station on the right at the John Lizer/Magnolia + Main St./SH 35 intersection. You should continue on Main St. to the SECOND traffic light after this intersection. You will then be at Oiler Drive/Bailey Road where you will turn left onto Oiler Drive, a street with an esplanade in the center. From Oiler Drive, you will make a left into the south parking lot at the first crossover. Enter the building at the entrance that is recessed between the main building and a building extension (shop area at the back of the school).

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take the Beltway to Telephone Road and make a left. Continue out Telephone Road and the street will change to Main St./SH 35. Continue south on Main St./SH 35. You will see a Shell gas station on the right at the John Lizer/Magnolia + Main St./SH 35 intersection. You should continue on Main St. to the SECOND traffic light after this intersection. You will then be at Oiler Drive/Bailey Road where you will turn left onto Oiler Drive, a street with an esplanade in the center. From Oiler Drive, you will make a left into the south parking lot at the first crossover. Enter the building at the entrance that is recessed between the main building and a building extension (shop area at the back of the school).

Proceed to stoplight located just south of Pearland High School and make a right on Oiler Drive/Bailey. Travel west on Bailey until you come to the school, which will be on your right. When you cross Veterans Blvd. – also called County Road 89 or Pearland Sites Road, you will see two schools on your right. The first facility will be the PISD Bailey Rd. Facility. The second facility will be the Pearland Jr. High South facility. The gyms are on the Bailey Road side of the schools.

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue south on Main/SH 35 until you get to Bailey Road and make a right turn onto Bailey. Travel west on Bailey until you come to the school, which will be on your right. When you cross Veterans Blvd. – also called County Road 89 or Pearland Sites Road, you will see two schools on your right. The first facility will be the PISD Bailey Rd. Facility. The first facility will be PISD Bailey Rd. Facility.. The gyms are on the Bailey Road side of the schools.

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue south on Main/SH 35 until you get to Bailey Road and make a right turn onto Bailey. Travel west on Bailey until you come to the school, which will be on your right. When you cross Veterans Blvd. – also called County Road 89 or Pearland Sites Road, you will see two schools on your right. The first facility will be the PISD Bailey Road Facility. The second facility will be the Pearland Jr. High South facility. The gyms are on the Bailey side of the schools.

COURTS #9 and #10 are located at Pearland Junior High East – 2315 Old Alvin Rd.

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518 and make a left. Continue down FM 518/Broadway. You will cross over the railroad tracks. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you get to Old Alvin Road. There will be a Burger King on the left. Make a left on Old Alvin Road, and the school will be on the right in about a half block.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue south on Main/SH 35 until you get to Broadway/FM 518 where you will turn left onto Broadway. Go east on Broadway until Old Alvin Road (Burger King on the corner to the left.). Turn left onto Old Alvin Road and travel about a half a block. The school will be on the right.

COURTS #11 and #12 are located at Pearland Junior High West – 2337 N. Galveston

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518 and make a left. Continue down FM 518/Broadway. You will cross over the railroad tracks. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you get to Old Alvin Road. This will be at the light with the Burger King. Turn left onto Old Alvin Road and travel a half a block. Turn left into parking area right before football stadium. Park in the parking lot between the schools and the main football stadium grandstand.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Turn left on FM 518/Broadway. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you get to Old Alvin Road. This will be at the light with the Burger King. Turn left onto Old Alvin Road and travel a half a block. Turn left into parking area right before football stadium. Park in the parking lot between the schools and the main football stadium grandstand.

COURTS #13 & #14 are located at Berry Miller Middle School – 2201 Old Manvel Rd.

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518 and make a left. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you reach FM 1128/Manvel Rd. There will be a Jack-in-the-Box on the left. Turn right onto FM 1128/Manvel Rd. and proceed to first stoplight at Fite Rd. Continue through the light and the school will be the second set of buildings on your left.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue down Main St. until you get to Broadway/FM518. This will be just past the Pearland State Bank and the Busy Bee Café will be on the corner. Turn right onto Broadway/FM518 and go over the railroad tracks and proceed to FM 1128/Manvel Rd. There will be a Sonic Drive-In and Food Town Shopping Center on your right at the intersection. Turn left on FM 1128/Manvel Rd. and proceed to first stoplight at Fite Rd. Continue through the light and the school will be the second set of buildings on your left.

COURTS #15 & #16 are located at Manvel Jr. High School – 7380 Lewis Lane (Manvel)

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to exit at Hwy. 6. Make a left on Hwy. 6 headed south. Continue on Hwy. 6 (go past Manvel High School) to the stoplight at FM 1128/Masters Rd. Make a left at the stoplight. Continue on Masters Rd. until you get to the flashing yellow at Lewis Lane. Make a right on Lewis Lane.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue down Main St. until you get to Broadway/FM518. Turn right on Broadway/FM 518 and proceed to FM1128/Manvel Rd. Continue on Manvel Rd. out of Pearland. You will travel about 4 miles before entering Manvel, the first flashing yellow light will be Lewis Lane. Make a left on Lewis Lane. You will be at the front of the school.

COURTS #17, #18, and #19 are located at Manvel High School – 19601 Hwy. 6 (Manvel)

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to exit at Hwy. 6. Make a left on Hwy. 6 headed south. Continue on Hwy. 6 until you see Manvel High School on your left. At the stoplight in front of Manvel High School (McCoy Rd.) take a left. The gyms are located in the back of the school.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue down Main St. until you get to Broadway/FM518. Turn right on Broadway/FM 518 and proceed to FM1128/Manvel Rd. Continue on Manvel Rd. out of Pearland. You will travel about 4 miles before entering Manvel, continue to Hwy. 6. Turn right on Hwy. 6 and proceed to the stoplight at McCoy Rd. Take a right and proceed to the back of the school where the basketball gyms are located.

COURTS #20 & #21 are located at Harby Jr. High – 1500 Heights Rd. (Alvin)

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to exit at Hwy. 6. Make a left on Hwy. 6 headed south. Travel on Hwy. 6 South through the City of Manvel onto the City of Alvin. Continue on Hwy. 6 until you get to County Road 149/Cardinal Dr. At the intersection with County Road 149 turn left. Proceed to Heights Rd./Country Rd. 145 and take a right. Harby will be down Heights Rd. on your left.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right) [this is a toll road]. Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue through the City of Pearland on Hwy. 35 to Alvin. As you get into Alvin, the highway will divide at the flashing yellow light. Veer right on Hwy. 35 Business/N. Gordon St./Loop 409. Continue on Hwy. 35 Business to Hwy. 6. Take a right onto Hwy. 6 and just after passing under the railroad tracks take a right on Brazos St. You will go a short distance on Brazos St. before making a left on Heights Rd. The school is on Heights Rd. on your right.

COURT #22 is located at Sablatura Middle School – 2201 Galveston

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518 and make a left. Continue down FM 518/Broadway. You will cross over the railroad tracks. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you get to Old Alvin Road. This will be at the light with the Burger King. Turn left onto Old Alvin Road and travel a half a block. Turn left into parking area right before football stadium. Park in the parking lot between the schools and the main football stadium grandstand.

COURT #23 is located at Jamison Middle School – 2506 Woody

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518 and make a left. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you pass Strickland Chevrolet. At the next stop light – located at Woody Rd. – you will take a left at the light and the entrance to the school parking lot will be on your left just past the corner house.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue down Main St. until you get to Broadway/FM518. This will be just past the Pearland State Bank and the Busy Bee Café will be on the corner. Turn right onto Broadway/FM518 and go over the railroad tracks. Woody Rd. will be located at the third stoplights with Frost Bank will be on the left. Turn right on Woody and then a left into the school parking just past the corner house.

COURTS #24, #25, & #26 are located at Glenda Dawson High School – 2050 Cullen Blvd.

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518 and make a left. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you reach Cullen Blvd.. There will be a Kroger on the left. Turn left onto Cullen Blvd. Travel Cullen until you reach the light at Hughes Ranch Rd. Make a left on Hughes Ranch Road and travel to the school entrance located just past the baseball fields. Turn right and the basketball gyms are at the same end of the school as the baseball and softball fields.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Continue down Main St. until you get to Broadway/FM518. This will be just past the Pearland State Bank and the Busy Bee Café will be on the corner. Turn right onto Broadway/FM518 and go over the railroad tracks and proceed to Cullen Blvd. There will be a Kroger on the right. Turn right onto Cullen Blvd. Travel Cullen until you reach the light at Hughes Ranch Rd. Make a left on Hughes Ranch Road and travel to the school entrance located just past the baseball fields. Turn right and the basketball gyms are at the same end of the school as the baseball and softball fields.

COURTS #27 & #28 are located at Albert Thomas Middle School – 5655 Selinsky

Traveling from Pearland. From FM 518/Broadway that runs East/West through Pearland take Cullen Blvd. North. Travel under Beltway 8 and proceed to Airport Blvd. Turn right on Airport Blvd. and travel to the intersection of Airport and MLK Blvd. Turn right on MLK Blvd. and continue to the intersection at Selinsky Rd. At Selinsky Rd. turn left. Thomas Middle School will off Selinsky about .25 miles on the left.

Traveling from Houston. Take 288 South to the Airport Blvd. exit. Turn left under 288 and travel to the intersection of Airport Blvd. and MLK Blvd. Turn right on MLK Blvd. and continue to the intersection at Selinsky Rd. At Selinsky Rd. turn left. Thomas Middle School will off Selinsky about .25 miles on the left.

COURT #29 at Alexander Middle School – 3001 Old Alvin Road

Traveling Hwy 288 South. Take Hwy 288 south to FM 518 and make a left. Continue down FM 518/Broadway. You will cross over the railroad tracks. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you get to Old Alvin Road. This will be at the light with the Burger King. Turn right onto Old Alvin Road and travel through stop sign. A short distance ahead you will cross a small bridge and the school will be on your left.

Traveling I-45 South. Take I-45 south to Beltway 8 West (go right). Take Beltway to Telephone Rd. and

make a left. Continue going south on Telephone Road. The name of the street will change to become Main Street/SH 35. Turn left on FM 518/Broadway. Continue down FM 518/Broadway until you get to Old Alvin Road. This will be at the light with the Burger King. Turn right onto Old Alvin Road and travel through stop sign. A short distance ahead you will cross a small bridge and the school will be on your left.
